Looking back to Tang Dynasty
Looking back to Tang Dynasty
Tang Poetry
By Hu Zi
My dear history,
The moats of Chang’an speak to me.
Though the City is no longer the center of political power, its King's words no longer supreme,
Its palaces no longer the home of emperors, its King's life no longer a legend.
Tang poetry still shines among its people like a star,
Lighting up the sky, day and night.
Where gorgeous poems are,
Romantic getaways are.
Even if the stars are dying,
The poems give hope for living.
I long to enter the poets’ creative world,
Where I can build a tent and live with them forever.
While the waves of the moats are drifting towards the Milky Way,
I am sailing to be transformed into Tang poetry.
